
O Bee was voted the Best Credit Union in 2022 by readers of Showcase Magazine. This is the third year in a row O Bee earned the award. In 2021 and 2020, O Bee also received the Best Credit Union award by Showcase Magazine. "We are just thrilled," said Lee Wojnar, Marketing V.P. "It was a pleasant surprise considering what these past two years have thrown at us. Our team is resilient, and our members are the best."
O Bee Credit Union is the original credit union of the Olympia Brewery. It was started February 15, 1955, by Ted McGill, who worked in the bottle house of the brewery. It is a full-service, not-for-profit credit union, owned by its members, with seven branches located in Lacey, Tumwater, Tenino, Yelm, West Olympia, Point Ruston and Fern Hill. Membership is open to all Washington residents.
Forbes recognized O Bee as the #1 credit union in Washington State in its list. This was the second straight year that O Bee made it to the Forbes Best-In-State list. In 2018, Forbes ranked O Bee in the top five.

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to determine the Best-In-State Banks and Credit Unions in the United States. “Statista surveyed more than 25,000 customers in the U.S. for their opinions on their banking relationships. The banks and credit unions were rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice,” the stated.
