Retro Recipe: Layered Salad

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped 
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 10 oz. frozen peas 
  • 6 hard boiled eggs
  • 10 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded 
  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled 
  • 1tomato, diced 
  
For the dressing:
  • 1 cup mayonaise
  • 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp sale
  • 2 TBSP sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonaise, sour cream, sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Assemble the salad by adding ingredients one layer at a time. Lettuce, peas, eggs, onions, cheese, dressing and bacon.
Serve in a glass bowl and enjoy the beautiful layers of salad!
