O Bee has been my place of employment and enjoyment for over five years now. As a loan officer at the Tumwater branch, one of the most gratifying things about my job is to help members reduce stress over their finances.

Several months ago, a new member, Vance D., came in to apply for a mortgage. He met with mortgage loan officer Mike Lindsay (pictured above, right), but unfortunately a mortgage wasn’t the best option for Vance. However, Mike was able to offer some useful advice and give Vance solid steps to take toward his goal of home ownership.

Mike introduced me to Vance to see if we could consolidate some of his high interest credit cards. I encouraged Vance to apply for a debt consolidation loan with O Bee. After reviewing his credit report and monthly bills, we secured the consolidation loan and were able to payoff and close three high interest credit cards.  By doing so, we reduced Vance’s monthly expenses by almost $700 a month!!
 
It was a great experience to help Vance get to a better place financially. Now he’ll be on the right track to one day own a home and have more available funds every month. I love the opportunity to serve in this way and to help members achieve their goals. Like I said to Vance in the beginning, “It never hurts to apply because there’s always the possibility that we can help get you to a better place financially. At the very least we can help give you direction to get you back on the right track.”
