Contest has ended. Winners are being verified.

This contest has ended. Thank you to everyone who participated. We are verifying the winners and will make an announcement in the next few days. Thanks again!

Our new Color-for-Cash contest runs from now through May. You could win big with one of six cash prizes ranging from $250 to $750 for a total of $3,000. O Bee will match the cash awards by donating $3,000 each to the Thurston County Food Bank and Nourish Pierce County. In recent weeks, food banks around Washington have seen an extraordinary increase in demand for food, cash donations and volunteers. O Bee hopes to draw awareness to these needs with a coloring contest.

“This is about helping the community by donating to the food banks, but also by letting people know we are here for them,” said Lee Wojnar, VP Marketing for O Bee Credit Union. “Not just on a financial level, but also by trying to reduce some of the stress we are all experiencing lately. Coloring has been shown to have a relaxing and calming effect on the brain. We think now might be a good time for a bit of coloring,” he added.

Prize winners will be chosen randomly. Open only to those 21 and older. One entry per person, only Washington residents or current O Bee members can participate.

Why color?

Needless to say, we could all use a calming element in our lives these days, and coloring is a simple way to relax. There are many benefits to coloring.
  1. Your brain can experience rest by entering a meditative state.
  2. Stress and anxiety levels have the potential to be lowered.
  3. Unplugging from technology can promote creation over consumption.
  4. Coloring can be done by anyone, not just artists or creative types.
  5. It’s a hobby that can be taken with you wherever you go.
