You are invited to join a guided tour of the historic Schmidt House. The Schmidt House’s caretaker for almost 60 years, Bob Crim, leads the 90-minute tour of the house and grounds. His stories captivate visitors, as they tour through the three top levels of the house, the treasures of the basement archives, and special surprises that the general public doesn’t get to see.Tours occur the second Tuesday of each month, but we are happy to work with groups to create customized programs at a time that works for your organization. Tours are designed for 8-20 people and require the ability to manage stairs. Presented by the Olympia Tumwater Foundation's Heritage Builders, in cooperation with the City of Tumwater.
