Accellion Data Breach

2/4/2020 - The Washington State Auditor's Office (SAO) has announced a security breach involving a third-party vendor, Accellion. The data includes personal information for individuals who filed unemployment claims in 2020 and may have also included information from other state agencies and local governments. While we don’t know the full extent of the breach, it would be wise to consider taking the following steps if you feel you may be impacted:

Monitor your account for unusual activity. Contact us immediately if any transactions appear to be suspicious. If you have credit cards or accounts with other financial institutions, monitor those as well and notify the organization if you see suspicious activity.

Place a password on your O Bee account if you don’t have one already. You can do this by calling the Contact Center or visiting a branch.

Sign up for alerts on your O Bee account to be quickly notified of debit or credit activity. You can do this within Online and Mobile Banking. Add alerts.

Add a fraud alert to your credit report: Consider placing a fraud alert on your credit report. An initial fraud alert is free and will stay on your credit file for at least 90 days. The alert informs creditors of possible fraudulent activity within your report and requests that the creditor contact you prior to establishing any accounts in your name. To place a fraud alert on your credit report, contact any of the three credit reporting agencies identified below. You only have to contact one.
