Olympia Brew Fest

Enjoy the fun, sun and over 30+ hand-picked Northwest breweries at the Olympia Brew Fest. It takes place at Port Plaza Park in Olympia right on the water. There's food, live music, gorgeous views and of course beer! Bring your friends, sunglasses and your Uber app as you sample some of the finest beer in the area.

Brew Five Three - Tacoma's Beer & Music Festival

Enjoy beer and cider tasting from 35 Northwest vendors and food trucks at Brew Five Three – Tacoma’s Beer and Music Festival, a summer block party on Broadway between 9th and 11th. Regular admission tickets include six tasting tokens and tasting glass; an all-day pass includes ten tasting tokens and a tasting glass! Designated Driver tickets may enjoy complimentary water and soda. This event is dog friendly.

Tumwater Artesian Brewfest

Celebrate the legacy of brewing in Tumwater! From 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Tumwater Valley Golf Course, in the shadow of the former Olympia Brewery.

Riverwalk Guided History Tours


 In cooperation with the City of Tumwater Parks and Recreation Department, the “Heritage Builders” local history program of the Olympia Tumwater Foundation announces the return of the popular live guided Riverwalk Tumwater history walks at
Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls. 
Led by Public History Manager Don Trosper, you’ll experience the heritage of Tumwater on this ½ mile loop trail along the beautiful Deschutes River and its falls; the focal point of this first permanent U.S. community in what is now the State of Washington. The one hour free tours begin at 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:

Fireside History Talk


Schmidt House history talks continue
In cooperation with the City of Tumwater Parks and Recreation, the “Heritage Builders” local history program of the Olympia Tumwater Foundation offers a free monthly on-line noon hour history talk series called “Fireside History.” The talks are hosted from the Schmidt House over zoom.

Wednesday, April 13, 2022 @ noon, with Rich Edwards, historian for the City of Tenino. He’ll be presenting a fresh look at how Tenino got its name, something that has been in dispute since the early 1900s.

Wednesday, May 11 @ noon, will feature author and the former director of the Washington State Historical Society, David Nicandri, with his book "Captain Cook Rediscovered: Voyage to the Icy Latitudes".

Wednesday, June 8 @ noon, will be author and editor Sandy Crowell, talking about the 2nd printing of the Thurston County history book "Water, Woods, and Prairies".
