Win Prizes, Have Fun, Get Lost!
O Bee Credit Union, The Olympian Newspaper and the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) are hosting the
“Amazing Money Maze” at the Rutledge Corn Maze Sept. 5 – Oct. 31. The “Amazing Money Maze” offers a fun way to get
families out for fun while teaching basic financial facts to children, youth and adults in a manner that is engaging and entertaining.
How it works
There are two separate mazes, a 1.2-mile maze and a 1.8-mile maze. In each maze there are six check points. At each check
point there is a fun financial question. After answering the question, participants get their check point card punched.
Participants may be entered into a daily and weekly drawing for an I Pod, Movie Tickets, Savings Bonds, Piggy Banks, Gift Bags of
shredded money, Children’s Hands-on museum prizes, Premier Martial Arts Lesson, Dance Lesson and much more…after visiting
each check point.
This family event is also a fund-raiser for The Thurston County Asset Building Coalition. The money raised will help promote
financial education programs throughout Thurston County communities.
This Corn Maze is a way for local businesses and organizations to come together and teach people vital financial concepts in a
fun and family-friendly environment that everyone will enjoy! This fundraiser offers financial information that is
beneficial for the many stages we all go through in life — from learning about the importance of having a savings account to investing for retirement.
“The Amazing Money Maze” opens Sept. 5 at the Rutledge Corn Maze in Tumwater off Exit 99. Don’t miss this great opportunity to
win prizes, have fun, and get lost while teaching children and adults vital financial education in a fun and unique way!
